Tommy John Underwear was excited to be celebrating their launch in the flagship Nordstrom store in downtown Seattle.  The story of how Nordstrom began is really interesting see here

Mike Kirkham (from Seattle) happened to drag his brother, Dan Kirkham (from Portland), shopping that day as he had been purchasing Tommy John for the last year and wanted to buy his brother a few pairs. 

Dan had this to say about his Tommy John Underwear, after his first wear; “My brother has been bugging me for a year or so about your shirts, I finally bought one and now I am converted.  I never knew an undershirt could fit and feel so unbelievable.”

Everyone was getting on the Tommy John action that day, including the guy in the back left wearing a suit.

December was, particularly, a very busy month for Tommy John.  We had events at many Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom stores making sure men across the country woke with Tommy John stay tucked undershirts and underwear in their stocking on Christmas morning.

Dino Ray-Ramos, fashion guru and writer of the Finer Dandy, stopped by the Tommy John area at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco to see what they were all about.  After learning about Tommy John and trying on one for himself, he “slowly” became a fan. 

 “As for the bunching of the shirt – there was none. In fact, as soon as I put it on, it felt like it evaporated. The hem of the shirt hugs below your waist and doesn’t move. It was magical.”

In town for events at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale before Christmas.  Tommy John founder, Tom Patterson, was a guest on Good Morning Arizona.  He talked about how he came up with the idea for Tommy John, discussed about market adoption his idea, and how men everywhere are falling in love with Tommy John underwear.

Tommy John received some holiday love this weekend at Neiman Marcus at Dallas Northpark Mall and many women and men showed their love by buying their significant others the ultimate undershirt and underwear for 2009.

Since our launch at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, our Second Skin undershirts have been crossing over into the “boyfriend tee” of choice for women and they can’t keep them in stock!  They love them so much that they are buying a few for themselves, along with some for the men in their life.

Erin Fujimoto, of Los Angeles, is a huge Tommy John fan and wears them as a boyfriend tee.  “I LOVE wearing them to sleep in, wearing around the house, and have even started wearing them with my favorite pair of leggings and a cute belt.”  The Tommy John shirts are, literally, the softest and most comfortable shirt I own.  I only wish they had more colors.  Her favorites are the stay tucked vneck undershirt and the stay tucked tank tops.
